Course Description

This course walks the participant through SAMHSA’s “Decisions in Recovery: Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder” handbook. This reading has valuable information on the different pathways of recovery and focuses on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) options. Information about specific drugs, opportunities in recovery, and other facets of the recovery process will be taught in this course.

Course Learning Objectives

    Learner will understand the different medications used for MAT

  • Learner will know the different aspects of recovery
  • Learner will know what is essential to the MAT recovery process
  •  Learner will know the difference between complete antagonists and partial agonist drugs

Course Requirements

You will be expected to review all materials provided and pass the post-test with a minimum of 80%, in order to receive your certificate of completion. You will also be required to complete a course evaluation. Once you have satisfactorily completed the post-test and submitted your evaluation, you will be able to download your certificate.
