Course Description

Participants are required to review the publication “Chronic Child Neglect.”  This course provides professionals with an overview of neglect, its implications for child welfare, and casework practice to address it. This publication also explores multi-system collaboration and partnerships, evidence-informed interventions, and the importance of hope in combating chronic neglect.  It features examples of State and local efforts to address chronic child neglect

Course Learning Objectives

  • Participants will learn about chronic neglect and the implications for child welfare
  • Participants will become familiar with casework practice to address chronic neglect
  • Participants will become familiar with multi-system
    collaboration and partnerships
  • Participants will be able to incorporate evidence-informed interventions in their practice

Course Requirements

You will be expected to review all materials provided and pass the post-test with a minimum of 80%, in order to receive your certificate of completion. You will also be required to complete a course evaluation. Once you have satisfactorily completed the post-test and submitted your evaluation, you will be able to download your certificate.
