Course Description
This course will walk the participant through the SAMHSA webinar “Addressing the Needs of Families in Child Welfare During a Public Health Crisis” which has 4 speakers from different family support organizations. Each speaker comes from a unique background and provides a different insight into the role of telehealth during the pandemic and how the role of telehealth has expanded after the pandemic.
There are several topics of discussion in the video and the focus is on the safety of high-risk families and how to ensure that care is being provided during the pandemic. The participant will be required to watch and comprehend several key points in the video including different online techniques and how care has evolved as a result of the pandemic.
This course is intended for healthcare workers, social workers, family counselors, and other persons involved with the well-being of families and newborn children. It will teach new strategies for utilizing online tools as well as the best approaches to converting some services to an online format.
Course Learning Objectives
- Learner will understand the continuing role of telehealth during and after the pandemic
- Learner will know some organizations committed to the safety of high-risk families
- Learner will understand some new methods of telehealth that have emerged as a result of COVID-19
- Learner will see how support organizations coordinate efforts to provide effective care
Course Requirements
You will be expected to review all materials provided and pass the post-test with a minimum of 80%, in order to receive your certificate of completion. You will also be required to complete a course evaluation. Once you have satisfactorily completed the post-test and submitted your evaluation, you will be able to download your certificate.
